After 8 games I feel we are up to speed and 8th position should be our benchmark for the season. There is no team below us that we should particularly fear and most of the teams above us have stronger squads considering the toll Europe may take upon us.
We've turned things around at the right time, because the matches are going to come thick and fast, and our next five are pretty tough...we have demonstrated that we can beat the teams in the bottom half, next we'll have to demonstrate that we can take points off the European contenders.
It was breathtakingly good, so good that no-one in the Northam complained about it not going it. All you could hear was variations on "what a fantastic save" Vin
Yeah, boring now. It's on in the background. Thinking of finding some highlights or 90 minutes and turning it off. Then Poldark later.
That top 7 looks like a barricade! All the usual suspects are playing well so far (unlike last season), so anything higher than 8th would be a phenomenal season for us considering the European campaign. Good test coming up next.
Enjoyable performance indeed - Redmond was fantastic; loved that he switched up his approach play between direct and twisty turny. Romeu fantastic again as well - solid as a rock. Great work from Sam McQueen - it really is superb to see academy lads coming through again.
Another bright start hampered by the loss of a full back, to injury, before regaining control again. Can see Burnley making another quick return to the Championship, based on today, and their other away results. Yet again we have become more fluid, going forward, in the second half. Can't wait for the chances to start going in, with more regularity.
Just got home having been out all day. Lovely scoreline to see! I'll get the Europa League special thread up later this evening.
Sam McQueen, he's my hero, His next game...... Will be at the San Siro! What a thoroughly enjoyable day.
