I thought it was perfectly sensible of Jose Mourinho. As he said, he knew that the Leicester defence could be beaten by pace, so he started with two quick young guys up front rather than the slow old granny shagger. As it was, Leicester were dreadful at set pieces and handed Man United the game. How many of the Foxes players did not realise that Champions’ League hangover was supposed to be AFTER they played a midweek game not BEFORE?

Judging by how rubbish England and Scotland were in the internationals, most of the betting when they meet in November will probably centre on how much of Wembley the Jocks demolish at the final whistle and how many grannies Rooney will pick up during the game. Okay chaps, I am going to raise a couple of points about the rules, specifically selection of Strikers and Midfielders and only being able to nominate them twice in the season. I have looked back at the competition to date and several people have nominated Mané as a midfielder when, if I type “Liverpool squad” into Google, Sadio Mané is given as a Forward. They also list Wayne Rooney and Theo Walcott as Forwards. So some people have been, inadvertently I am sure, nominating two strikers a week. Also, the idea that a player can only be nominated twice appears to have escaped a few folks as somebody has used Jermain Defoe and Dušan Tadić three times each whilst another well-known individual has used Jamie Vardy the last six weeks (with little success). Of course, some of us are purer than driven snow and have not used any player more than once yet this season but hardly ever seem to pick anyone that scores that week!
is that me? I don't don't know who are strikers and who are mid fielders. I think it won't make any difference if I don't nominate anyone.
