I find it incredible that Sunderland with TEN players out injured are still able to put in a creditable performance against Premier League opposition , we should all applaud them ,from that perspective try if you would to imagine what will happen when they have another ten players to choose from on top of the inevitable Jan signings, the future is looking rosy

By the same token we should not at the same time underestimate the results of NUFC simply because it is against second class opposition, they still show that at their level they can be competitive

 

We had 12 players out for sections of last season, don't recall anyone giving us credit for that?

To be fair though with our January signings everything did work out ok.

Ozzie Fred was told to deduct one from each hand and that was how many were out.

 

The Mackems are the only team in the top five divisions not to have won a league game this season......you have to go as far down as Bradford Park Avenue in the National League North to find the next team not to have won one

 

At their current rate, as well as us being the last tyne wear team to score a win in the EPL... we will be the NEXT!

If the premier league season were to keep going at it's current rate, then the Sunderland team of 2005/06 would rise from having the second worst ever all time Premier League points tally in a season to only being the 3rd worst. As an added bonus, the Sunderland team of 2002/03 would rise from 4th worst ever points tally to the dizzying heights of only 5th worst.

 

So they could be 3 of the 5 worst ever Prem teams?
