Point is he hasn't scored loads of goals. If you watch the games you'll see it for yourself, he spends more time on his Arse than anything else. If you're happy to spend £8.5 million on someone whos been dropped for the last month and scored 4 goals since he's been here....then some of our supporters are looking in the wrong direction.
He'd have to play minutes. As I said about Jerome, He is our always and only Striker. He scores a few......Well who else could!?
Bradley Johnson scored 14 from midfield during promotion season. If Naismith can equal that then he gets credit from me. Promise.
You asked who else was going to score as Naismith isn't a striker?? I was just pointing out it can be done from midfield if you can be bothered!
I'm sure we all hope Naismith comes good and fires in 10 or 15 goals from midfield but he has flattered to deceive thus far for the hassle hype and price tag. Is that so difficult to comprehend?
Expertly put and sums up my views as well - although admittedly I've been quick to lambast him at the slightest excuse, but as highlighted above, we paid idiotically over the odds when you balance that fee against his overall contributions (not just goals-per-games ratio). Breaks my heart that the amount we paid was enough to get a decent additional CB or striker in, either of which could well have helped us survive last season in the top flight. Naismith exacerbated our demise with a string of poor to average-at-best performances But I'll leave him be as long as continues his run of net-busting from a yard or less
I don't think there was much hype, as a lot on here didn't want him. Also he can't be blamed for the price tag. That's between Everton, and mainly the fault of Norwich for paying it. Do you understand?
I just want to say by the way. I don't particularly like Naismith. I do however think the intense hate is unfair.
