The residents of the area(not necessarily those who's homes were demolished)but those living in the vicinity wanted the area regenerated and more amenities, can't blame them really because it was a dump.
Tbh pjs your making a big fuss about something EFC done the same as to modernise Goodison in in the 60's. Residents in Goodison Ave were booted out to make way for EFC to progress, its extremely sad but unfortunately it happens and those on the receiving end are helpless.
