Dubious penalty. Wolves equalise with a nailed on penalty. Villa only had 46% possession and 4 shots compared to Wolves 11. Bruce out!
The remark about the penalty was somewhat tongue in cheek. What about Arsenal? Swansea completed more passes, had more possession, only had 3 less shots, had as many shots on target and more corners. Wenger out!
Aston Villa were crap, they were lucky the ref hindered wolves as well. Was Chester playing left back? Looked it.
Does anyone else think it's weird the pundits still keep tipping Boro to come good and be easily safe despite the fact that they're quite clearly dogshite? I remember that annoying Smoggy poster ripping the piss out of me on here for saying they'd signed too many foreigners with limited premier league experience which will mean no team spirit and guaranteed bottom 4. Bet he ain't fookin laughing now.
But nobody ever expected anything different to that, me included. The Boro fans and many / most pundits thought they would be well clear of trouble purely cos they signed a few fancy foreigners.
I thought Boro were awful. Considering all they spent in the summer, they looked devoid of ideas. Like us, it looks like it'll be a fight to stay up. See how Burnley get on against Southampton this afternoon.
When did the rules change regards injured players not having to leave the pitch after treatment , Mike Dean just allowed Redmond to stay on the pitch after treatment in the Southampton v Burnley game.
The good news out of the weekend, if you can call it good news, is that Sunderland, Boro and Burnley all lost.
they all look as **** and lacklustre as us too albeit not conceding as many goals and i'd like to think we have two decent strikers who played in a good system will do good positives i suppose
