Very good point, they we're always blue. Cheese and onion were always green. Why change **** around?

    I remember Marathons ffs.

MSG is what makes everything taste delicious. I bet if Pringle's took it out of their crisps people wouldn't even 'pop' in the first place never mind 'not stop'.

Were they always blue? What about those old ones where you had to add your taste from a tiny sachet. They just pissed me off.

Sometimes you would get no little blue bag at all :emoticon-0107-sweat But just occasionally you would get 2 bags. Then of course you would have to put both bags of salt on your crisps just because you could. Even if it made it taste horrid :emoticon-0102-bigsm

It was, in fact, a legal requirement.

Remember when Walker's did that whole money in special packets promo? I had a friend who ran around the playground with excitement thinking he'd won £50 which, at our age, he thought would be enough to retire on.

The crisps? Salt N' Shake. The money? Salt. The friend? Tit.

<laugh> I'm sure I read in the paper as a kid that somebody threw one of them out thinking it was salt. Only to realise later..

You can actually still buy them. For example: http://www.brackenbankstores.co.uk/acatalog/copy_of_Crisps.html

Yeah someone mentioned that to me a while ago. I found a bag last time I was in England but they were made my McCoys now and tasted nothing like they used to :( - even the Paper bag was gone.

Can anyone remember when Tudor started bringing out bizarre flavours for no good reason? For example, the infamous Kipper crisps that lasted about 2 weeks in the 70s?

And does anyone know where to buy potato sticks? Not those maize things but the ones that are firm to the bite? Haven't seen them for years.

Marks & Spencer used to be good for stuff like that, own brand wotsits and whatnot, they defo used to sell them. Was it Tudor who did the very short lived chocolate flavour crisps in the late 80's/early 90's? They were awful.

If he's signed up to watch Newcastle for 10 years, he doesn't want a direct debit he wants the directions to Cherry Knowles.
