Its certainly his usual position but I think his best performances in a City shirt have been at centre back.

 

Yeah imagine our top scorer being pissed off that he can't start important games, that we need to score goals in, because Phelan can't use the resources at his disposal to make it work.

 

I feel for him, he's asked to play a role he's not suited to then dropped when he's not up to scratch.

The guy scored 22 goals last season, perhaps its better to play to his strengths rather than waste his talents completely.

True, but lets not forget if he could have agreed personal terms with Aston Villa, we would not be having this conversation.

 

Going forward it is a front three, but take your point that away from home it likely to be a 451.

 

City have struggled to score goals from midfield since Koren left. At least the 1 is Chazz's fave, the prolific Keane.

I've nothing against keane at all. I hope he scores a hat trick. We needed to sign two experienced plYers, that was the point.
If we had signed keane too then all well n good. But we would now be playing an experienced forward not him. Let's hope he does well

He wanted out pure and simple, it was all about money and this is highlighted even more so with the team he wanted to go to are in the championship.
