So within a few minutes of denying anti Phelan posts here comes another dig - in Phelan we trust - Brucie managed 2 points off the same fixtures last time we were in the Prem, Phelan has managed 7 - you're making yourself look an idiot

 

I know we will never agree on this, but I still feel with the players we have available at the moment 352 is my preferred formation.

 

That wasn't an anti-Phelan post, he was legitimately questioning a strange starting line up.

I'm a big fan of Phelan but I agree with Chazz, there's some strange selections in there.

Never seen City play at Bournemouth. The last time I was at a match between them was over 50 years ago at BP having returned from London for my dad's 60th.
City lost 3-4 in an entertaining match.

I'm not against 3 at the back John. I just like Jake CM. He's our best player there IMHO of course.

 

I agree with this, but with Dawson coming back, then Dawson/Davies/Maguire with Livermore as a back up should one of these get injured. For this game it looks as if it will be 4 at the back with Maloney Keane Snodders the front 3.

It gives us options off the bench, but admittedly I'm a bit puzzled by that line up.

 

Not surprised about Maloney being in for Dio, don't think Dio has done enough to keep his place. Not unhappy seeing Harry in for Jake and Jake back in midfield as that is his best position. Keane in for Hernandez is a bit of a surprise, but having said that, Hernandez as a lone striker doesn't work.

 

Well, he is not wrong.

Having seen Hernandez play in the position a few time now he doesn't enjoy it either.

 

Odds on him being a Villa player by the end of January?
