    From SAFC.com
'Sunderland AFC’s Premier League fixture against Chelsea at the Stadium of Light in December has been moved.

The Black Cats were due to face the Blues at 7.45pm on Tuesday 13 December but the game has been moved back 24 hours and will now take place at 7.45pm on Wednesday 14 December.

Please note that the game has not been selected for live broadcast and has been moved by the Premier League due to Chelsea’s other fixture commitments.'

Thanks interesting as when we have had fixture congestion our matches are always moved to benefit us - NOT
Can't even point the finger of blame on our financiers (Sky) -stinks this esp with our injury situation to contend with - Premier League bias

Bollox to Chelsea and their like. Domestic football is our only interest so why give the big boys the benefits when their other fixtures get overloaded. They have the huge squad so use it.

Looks like they've been moved to the Sunday the game before so our game gets moved back so they get an extra 24 hours recovery time. Not saying it's right but thems the rules.

Your Everton game was moved last season IIRC, by the time you played them in the rearranged match, they were in shocking form.

Cheers but that was a one off we usually receive the rough end of fixture rearrangements and IIRC it was rearranged at Evertons request and they did not know they would be inn poor form or Sunderland would be almost mercurial - lol.
    Regardless cheers

Wasn't that one down to FA cup and think we went for late in season as all other mid weeks before then we're not possible due to European games ( not allowed to play domestic games in Euro weeks )? This one works better for us as we get 24 hours more rest than them - not that it'll make any difference as we are currently so poor.

Yeah it was. Moved due to progression in the fa cup not to accommodate anything else and the powers wouldn't allow any other midweek due to European football
