ok so watched the 1st 4 episodes of penny dreadful last night, i know its been about a while but it slipped under the radar for me, have to say i was really impressed with it, some of it is really intense stuff, dorian grey is a ledge and the bird who assists Dalton, the scene where she is possessed (ep 4 i think) thats some brilliant acting from her.
gonna carry on with it now.

Definitely a reason for the word slow in the title.

The story had a good base but it seriously lacked western action

So I went to see that new Dan Brown movie inferno.

    I'd barely scrape a 7. Probably 6.5/10.

It was very mixed. Ending was poorlying executed, central twist was completely telegraphed, characters were imo obvious.

The dante's Inferno bits were good enough.

The trailer for Dr strange was on. I felt it looked great but I dunno... can anyone tell me if they've just tried too hard make cumberbatch look like the Character? He looks a bit fantastic 4 to me but the battles in it look freaking epic.

    Starred Up

10 stars from me. Great film. Set in a prison about a violent con who gets moved up from Juvenile to a proper prison where his dad (also a con) is one of the main men. Wasnt sure what to expect but it just had me hooked.

Definitely falls under the category of great films people may not have heard of. Watch it <ok>

Lifeboat (Hitchcock) has started on Film4

When I was young and saw this film I thought it only applied to the time it was set and how civilisation had moved on.

Watching it now and it's as relevant today as it's always been. Same human nature, same drowning out of common decency by extremism. Same xenophobia and paranoia. It really is a fine study of the human psyche. Also makes me think that human beings like to believe that as a civilisation they learn from history, but do they ****!

Anyway rant over. Great film <ok>

So i had to ensure de ja POO with the x factor. It was like the same **** people were at the bootm again and i'd have liked them to just get rid of them all and no bother have a show.

Even more depressingly their giant wheel or moronity spun divas week so i will have to endure people screaming songs from beyonce at me for 2 hours next weekend.... this stuff is just not fair at this point.
