It's been clearly stated by Huw why contracts have been offered the way they have been, it's because we didn't have the money to offer better terms on new contracts, that is why pratley left, that is probably why dorus left, and more than likely why a number of players left over the years!

We had stark choices here, if we offered pratley an improved deal last year, as all new contracts are an improvement over their old one, we wouldn't have been able to bring Borini in, if we offered new contracts to other players over the years, we wouldn't have Anderson or Gomez at our club.

The correct course of action was taken, not because huw was tight but because money was for many years, and now we have reached a new height we must still be careful or we could land up like hull with debts everywhere!

you cant blame dyer for not agreeing a new contract yet as what would you do when a massive club like Liverpool are showing an interest in you. im sure the right decision will be made by next week and if he should go then good luck to him i say, he has worked hard to get where teams are showing an interest in him......i hope he stays from a selfish point of view or perhaps Liverpool if they do get him may loan him back for a season...who knows. at the end of the day dyer must do what is best for him and the club has to do their best to get as much money as they can. its unfortunate that he has just a year left on his contract as that will reflect on our bargaining power on how much we can get for him should he go....

As i said Huw had tough choices to make ! contracts handled badly eg... would it have been better to offer dorus the same wage iff we are relegated and kept him than have to spend more than that would have cost us on a top quality replacement keeper now ?. And a lot of money spent over recent years on players who aint cut it. Then the not tying down of our better players early enough when it would have been a lot cheaper to do ! I know money was tight but i think it could have been managed better at times without putting us in deep debt.

You are contradicting yourself, on one hand you are saying tough choices had to be made, then saying contracts were handled badly. Huw quite rightly put the record straight a few weeks ago, we could not offer new terms on players otherwise it would have jeopardised our club, he stated specifically that Borini would not have been brought into the club if we renewed pratley's contract, the terms on new contracts cost more than previous ones.

Sorry but we can't have it all ways, we have lost two players only, the others are being tied down with new contracts now that we can afford too, think you should have more faith in the people running our club they know what they are doing.

we have only spent £7 million on new players for the new season. that is not very much for a premiership team in 2011.......

I have complete faith in Rogers and Huw has done a good job too its just frustrating we are so close to the season starting and have little time for new players to gel yet we still need key players and maybe could have kept dorus here. Perhaps contracts handled badly was a bit strong granted could have been handled better with the limited funds available more like but i was thinking back as far as Robinson and so on . Im sure the management will sort out a good keeper v.soon . This Dyer issue is bugging me though.

We need dyer more than £2-3 millions so if the scousers want him, with the money they seem to have got, if they want him hold them to ransom. £10 million easily they got so let them offer it

Saying that has he resigned or not yet (guessing not) as I'm in Thailand at the minute and I'm a little out of sync with what's been going on apart from the 2 signings and the win against Celtic (another sign that those down the road ain't as good as us given they lost lol)

I wonder how long BR stays. Does anyone know how long his current contract is? Even so, there is bound to be a release clause in it.

That's all that a club like Swansea can afford.

He hasn't resigned; he's still a Swans player. Players can't just resign, as they have a contract to stick to.
