Who's in the big building in the middle now, or is it still empty?

That looks absolutely ace imo, real shame a derelict, ramshackle building is the centrepiece of the square.

The new concert arena should've been built where BHS/Manor point is.

What happened to the old Skyline Ballroom above the Co-op/BHS? Is it still there - anyone know?

Not sure if that wasn't converted as part of Bailey's nightclub of days gone by Stanley.

Ah - I forgot it became Bailey's. Would it still exist, though?

I have stated previously that the old BHS, Co-op whatever, should be converted to a concert venue instead of paying for a brand new building, parking is available in Bond St even though yet more plans for that area have been mooted there is nothing definite. What with the City Hall and New Theatre and Hull Truck not far away many diverse musical shows could be shown.

It still exists, it's just been disused since Romeo & Juliets closed. The whole BHS/Co-op building is empty now.

I think the mosaic is listed now! That's maybe why they're showing that?

You couldn't convert it, you'd need to demolish it and build a new building.

I don't know about that Stanley but I seem to remember an article in the HDM about those people who's hobby seem to consist of breaking into derelict buildings, the Lord Line was one and the Ranks old flour mills just demolished was another and Baileys was added to the list, and taking pictures of what state these buildings were in.

The murals inside and outside the building are currently both still okay.

I just meant the building as it stands is no good as a modern music venue, it's a multi-floored department store.
