EU-Canada trade deal falls apart after veto from ONE REGIONAL government

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said: “If Europe cannot manage to sign this agreement, then that sends a very clear message not just to Europeans but to the whole world that Europe is choosing a path that is not productive, either for its citizens or for the world, and that would be a shame.”

Good job the UK is leaving

nothing is a piece of cake if it involves the EU
that's not a reason to stay in and suffer for the rest of our lives
it's best to bite the bullet, leave and then make our own decisions
I suppose if you were married and you didnt like your wife any more that you would stay married because divorce was too much hassle

Like the EU and partners, things can change over time into something very different from what perhaps seemed attractive in the early days.

... guess they model their modus operandi on how long it took successive Tory governments to conclude the Hillsborough enquiry?

We were able to board the ship a little later though and I for one enjoyed the cruise. All the ship needs now is a refit, not some mutineers trying to sink it

What a waste of money, and time, just to conclude with what we all knew to be true in the first place.

Of course being in the EU is difficult. Your marriage analogy isn't a bad one, actually. If we had made an effort to make it work rather than wanting opt outs on everything we might have seen the advantages more clearly.

It needed a new engine, and new captain and complete new crew, and a new anchor....and to be changed into a van.

    How were we suffering?

Or do you mean there have been too many dark faces around recently?
