Anyone else notice that Rafa seems to have sorted out our injury 'jinx' quite quickly? We're in a tougher league too which makes it even more remarkable. It's either: 1- The Rafa Effect 2- The legacy of Pardew finally receding 3- Us having less soft fannies on our books Discuss.
When I saw the title I assumed this was gonna be the usual announcement that half our team got crocked on international duty - don't ****ing scare me! Is this also a trait of being in the championship? i.e. we have fighters who actually make an effort to stay fit and take care of themselves? The squad seems free of the Owen/Viduka/Dyer/Woodgate/Siem De Jong type wasters that we've had before.
Bigger squad (at least in terms of quality players). That and rotation. But give it time it's still early days and we could still get plenty of injuries.
He's got rid of the crackers that were shagging each other up the arse. The number of groin/ hamstring injuries seems to have miraculously gone since the 'clique' were sold.
So they're still fannies and they're still soft they're just not as soft as the previous ones? Sounds about right.
Fannies are a good way of looking at it. All fannies are fairly durable. They all start out like that anyway. They are a thing of beauty at 17-35. Some last longer. Some get messy real quick. You can pound them into oblivion and like good leather they just go back into shape/retake perfect form. However there comes a time if they are getting pounded regular without any rest time (a.k.a prostitutes/slags), and the proper exercises are not completed before and after use, that they don't reform. Then they become ugly like a badly packaged kebab and just don't work the same way. The moral of the story is give the fannies proper rest by having other options (****ing/side piece), do the regular conditioning work, and the fannie will function a lot better And make sure you eat your muesli and dianabol.
In this analogy I'm try to think what the player equivalent of giving birth is. Having his legs run over by a bus maybe.
