How is it only Thursday? This week has gone so slowly. International football doesn't help. Got my ticket but Sunday feels a long way away.
Lawro predicts us to win 2-0 but this quote irks me; You could say it is same old Southampton, actually. Whether they lose their manager or sell some of their best players, it does not seem to make much difference. Seriously can some people just come up with something different to say now? I've heard this line every single game, in almost every new article. Time for journos and commentators to come up with new material.
But you're forgetting that we sell all our best players and lose all our managers. And all of our best players. And our managers. And remember that time when we sold all our best players? And the time when all those managers buggered off too? And don't get me started on our best players. Whoosh! They all just disappear! Wait, what was that?! Another manager gone, oh how do we do it?! Quick someone, I need a joke about Liverpool buying another Saints player to cheer me up.
I can tolerate all the stuff about losing players/managers/tea ladies as long as it is followed by...but they keep marching on.
http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/sa..._lays_plans_for_epic_fixture_pile_up/?ref=mac Echo article about Puel's problems as Saints face 7 games in 3 weeks with some players injured. Inter Milan twice....Inter Milan twice....had to repeat that to believe it. However, we must remember that even if some are injured for Burnley and the San Siro game, there is a good chance they will be back fresh for later matches. Of course, new players may be injured by then, but we won't talk about that.
Don't know if you have a smartphone and/or the BBC News App on it because they regularly put up articles in readiness for live events such as Saints football matches [there's also one for Saints v Burnley]. So up pops this just yesterday: Thu, 20 Oct 2016 | Europa League - Group K INTER MILAN [18.00] SOUTHAMPTON Venue: Giuseppe Meazza Unfortunately, beneath it is a picture of 3 ManU supporters sporting Ibrah shirts, but there was no mistaking the slight fizzing in my brain that occurred seeing the above headline.
Don't worry we are going to be small news until Wayne Rooney gets back into the Manure or England team. In fact all football news is suspended until that happens. Then the world can go on spinning!
