It's not a competition to see who can kill the most people. If anything, if you're against the Russian movement then you'd be more willing to help the people made homeless by their actions.

Why don't the Russians take some in? They are fighting in their home country. Why don't refugees go to Russia, which can be reached without perilous sea journeys and demand to be housed as they have bombed them out of theirs? Surely they can't think this awful country you have such a low opinion of is worth the extra effort?

I don't envisage anything. I don't think 780 million people in the UK is desirable or necessary, but it is possible to accommodate 780 million in the UK. Which is what you asked.

<laugh> Russia takes on the second largest amount of immigrants in the world, after the United States.

I don't have a low opinion of this country at all, you've obviously read my posts wrong. It's the arrogant ****s that live here I can't stand. Not everybody is like that, some have common sense and a shred of humanity.

And you pretty much pipe out Daily Mail standard pork. For a man with an apparently high intellect, you come across as an idiot.

Well Russia has held evacuation drills involving 40million people, is constructing underground shelters and told Russian staff abroad to return home in case of war. Imagine the hysteria by the lefties and liberals if it was the USA doing that.

As Einstein said " I know not what weapons World War III will be fought with but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones".

So, to sum up opinion so far, it's come down to:

    1. Let's help out a bit more.
    2. The country is 'full' and we couldn't possibly squeeze in any more, despite the fact that people are dying, running from terrorism, starving etc, we are an island and despite labelling ourselves as a beacon of freedom and goodwill to everybody, we in fact don't want to help anybody else by taking them in and would rather another country does the hard work for us, thank you very much.
    3. We do enough, therefore we don't need to do anything else. World, it's your problem, we've done our bit. Despite being in the world, we don't wish to do anything else. Count us out.

Right, but you don't want them here either. Russia are on the other side effectively, we're telling them to stop to prevent this problem from getting worse. But the people without homes need somewhere to go and Europe are taking on a lot of the strain. We should do more.

    4. Britain is the only safe country in the world.
    5. Britain has caused the displacement of millions of people, especially children, by bombing everyone
    6. Despite this, they want to come here
    7. This country can accommodate 780 million people, many of whom in Sterling Archer's spare bedroom on funds not yet specified.

The answer is to overhaul the welfare system. Most of the issues will then solve themselves.

We'll be able to accommodate more refugees because the number of economic migrants will reduce massively.

Are we currently bombing all of Nigeria, Eritrea, Somalia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Tunisia, Senegal.

The standard of life in other countries needs to be increased, then there will be no reason to migrate for entry level jobs.

Those are idiotic things you've said, not general opinion on here.

Why did you even post number 7? Just comes across as childish and inane. No wonder nobody takes you seriously.

Huzzah. If their countries weren't torn to shreds by us, they wouldn't have to leave in the first place.

Personally, I wouldn't want to face death at the hands of ISIS either, what they do to men who don't join is awful.

So you made a statement which was incorrect? Cheers.

I am making reference to that fact that luvvies and liberals tell us we owe it to people who have lost their houses directly, or indirectly, due to our involvement (though we have done little actual bombing ourselves). Yet they don't say that Russia should have to accept responsibility for those they have made homeless but we should take those as well. It isn't us bombing hospitals in Aleppo.
In reality there are far more refugees in Turkey, Lebanon and elsewhere. They were talking to some who said they had no intention of coming to Europe but were willing to wait in camps until they could return to Syria. They are refugees. You can't help but suspect that many of the ones coming to Europe are economic migrants.
Of course this doesn't alter the horror of what happening. It was heartbreaking to see those girls on the news covered in horrific cuts caused by flying debris from Russia and Assad's bombing.
