SAF rules out Berba exit. "It's nonsense," said Ferguson. "There's absolutely no interest or encouragement from us either." Ferguson appeared to imply he would sell Berbatov to PSG when quizzed over the Bulgarian by a French reporter following United's friendly against Marseille on Tuesday, but the manager says he misunderstood the question. He admitted: "I thought she was asking about our chances for the season." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11667_7083954,00.html Looks like our mercurial Bulgar is here to stay.
Put it like this, if someone was one on one with the keeper, out of all of our strikers, Berbatov is probably the last person I'd want in that position (even Rooney would be low down on that list). But his creativity is 2nd to none and I will always maintain that we play our best football when we are a fluid 4-4-2 with Rooney and Berbatov playing together. Please note I said best football, might not take all the chances created with say Hernandez not playing, but in terms of passing and creativity, Roo and Berba are the combination.
Fine by me too, he is a great talent. We have some great options up front this season, by far the strongest in numbers anyway that we have ever had.
Granted. But considering how many goals that he did score, he does miss quite a few as well. I'm not saying he is a bad finisher, I just wouldn't call him a finisher in the same way that you would class Hernandez. Both play up front but both bring completely different things to the party. And noone else, in our squad definately does what Berba does.
