He actually owned five apartments in the building, one to live in, one for guests, one as a studio for him, one as a studio for Ono and one for storage. I think the fur coat story is only half true, he did once buy 80 fur coats as Christmas presents and they all went in the storage apartment, but he didn't actually buy an apartment just for fur coats.

So his father tucked off and left him to fend for himself? (Some father) And now the enterprising, supposedly 13 year old, has managed to get all the way to the French coast by himself and is trying to enter the country illegally to join him.
Which begs the question why his father, who will have somewhere to live and is earning money and paying taxes if here legally, didn't forward him the money to travel here to join him. Of course it could be his father is himself here illegally, not paying taxes. So if that is the case, are you advocating the offspring of everyone who has got in here illegally is entitled to ask for their kids, 4,5,8,9 to join them?

    As Elton sang-
    "Imagine three apartments
    It's easy if you choose
One to live in, one for fur coats
    The other one for shoes..."

Very true. They thought the country was under threat and like my dad joined up in response to that threat. The reality of what the Nazis were doing wasn't apparent and remained that way until virtually the end of the war.
Not just us. Stalin dropped the communist party stuff and even re-opened churches, referriing to Mother Russia in speeches. Of course that all changed and it was back to normal when the Soviets got the upper hand.

Patton summed things up very well. "The object of war isn't to die for your country. It is to make the other guy die for his."

Have you any proof he's here illegally?

Do you know how his father got here because I don't as I've said before.

I didn't say he was here illegally. I said if he was here legally he could have sent his son the money for him to join him here with the money he is earning and let him join him where he is living (where is the mother, I wonder?) However that wouldn't be possible if he was here illegally. Are you advocating the families of people here illegally should have the right to join them?

Sorry. Haven't got the time. Try Happy. His ex wife said he was omnipotent. At least I think that is what she said.

There's already an open border between the Republic and Northern Ireland and I did specifically mention that Ireland and Iceland were the other two European countries with 'natural' borders as island-nations.

Also, referring to Ireland as 'Eire' when otherwise speaking English is really cringey. It's like referring to Sweden as 'Sverige' or Finland as 'Suomi'.

We already have an English word for Ireland - it's Ireland.

Yes - but (a) Cromwell didn't trash Sweden or Finland; (b) 'LEAKAGE' at that border.

Snowflake <laugh> yeah, a real apt description while we pick up the pieces the previous generation shat out. Thanks for that. Tit.

Britain isn't rubbish as a place to live, it's fine. It's the ****s that are in it that are the problem. "Oh Britain must be totally British". Bollocks, if you want that, get rid of everything that isn't. There'll be pretty much nothing left. No iPhone, no televisions, no cars (no decent ones), no foreign food, no imports, no American Tv. Britain's contribution to the world seems to be pretty much zilch, unless we are in a war, colonising countries or playing football.

I thought that Asylum seekers and refugees couldn't pick and choose but had to be offered safety in the first safe country they land in. From Africa and the Middle East this is not the UK.

What does Cromwell have to do with referring to Ireland in English on an English-based forum?

If you're going to make a rather lazy point about the English bullying the poor Irish, you'll have to concede that the Normans have been bullying the English just as bad since 1066 as it's their descendants who largely form the ruling upper-classes.

    Also, Cromwell's ancestors were Welsh.

Once they get accepted in an EU state, they are free to travel to any other EU state, it's why lots of people just voted for us to leave.

    Whats wrong with that?

I would never recommend something to a client of mine if I wasn't willing (If I had the money) to use that product or strategy myself. Why should it be any different with this?

If Lily Allen is asking me to give say £50 a month towards charity, surely Lily Allen should be willing to give the same percentage of her income to charity as well? Lily Allen has more money than the average person in the UK (A lot more) instead of trying to get the standard to donate money surely she should consider it herself?

Cromwell was born in Ely, wherever his family came from (part of mine is Russian Jewish).
How can Eire be an 'island state' when it's in two parts? Open border (so far, thanks to the Northern Ireland Agreement). And Irish (= EU) have automatic access to UK. So - how to stop 'immigrants' with EU accreditation coming into Britain?

Only Lilly Allen hasn't asked you do donate **** all to anyone, has she?

James O'Brien sums it up very well on here and Allen then calls in...
