Lily could go to Rojava in northern Syria to fight alongside the Kurdish female militias, the YPJ, to end the civil war in Syria and bring democracy and freedom to the region. Kinda like a female Orwell.

 

What I have never understood is why the refugees aren't resettling in France? If they are fleeing wars and certain death (Not denying this) why would they not seek Asylum?

I am not a fan of France either but there are no reasons why someone can't seek asylum there. If someone is stuck in France they should be made to seek Asylum there. This is not to say we shouldn't as a country take in more refugees, however, they should not be the one's who are already in a completely safe country, they should be the one's in Syria and places in the world that aren't safe.

If Lily Allen is that bothered, she should sell her 4.2m home and downsize to a small 1.5m house and give the rest of the money to helping these refugees.

 

After reading through 6 pages of this thread after your rant I can now reply,

You clearly are a decent bloke with high morals. However I believe you have classed me as a ****. My beef with this is not the highlighting of the huge problem in Calais which I am already well aware of but 2 fold..

1, Apologising for 60+ million people is clearly a ridiculas thing to do..
2, Offering to take a refugee in when you are very wealthy is a touch annoying to those at the other end of the wealth scale.

I have worked in the past with refugees in the past and donated to similar causes and will do so in the future.

I hope the kid in question finds his Dad as he should be with him.

I also hope she can persuade rich people to spread the wealth which would be much more helpful
