Okay, I know it's not like me to put my neck out on this subject, but I really do think it could be on this season.

What do the lads think?

 

You have to do Arsenal double first. I can't remember the last time you did it.

 

I think your best chance will come after Wenger leaves, if you still have Pochettino. For what it's worth, I think you have one of the best young coaches in Europe, but you may have problems when other teams work you out, because his weakness is that his sides always play the same way. That's probably equally true of Wenger's teams, but in a different way.

Both teams will continue to be vulnerable at the back this season imo, although in Alderweirald and Vertonghen you have probably the best CB pairing in the league. That won't always help when you insist on playing 90 mins in the opposition's half though - some teams will pass through you and punish you, as you've probably already noticed. Meanwhile this Xhaka bloke sitting in front of Arsenal's back four might do the job they have been crying out for for years.

And I still haven't forgiven you bastards for taking Martin Chivers off us btw. So I hope you finish 8th.

 

That will apply equally to a lot of teams, of course.

However, I want us to finish above Arsenal with Wenger at the helm. Indeed, I'd love the fact of our finishing above them to be Wenger's death-knell, the straw that breaks the Arsenal-board-camel's back. It would be great for our fans to be able to sing "We got you sacked!" to the Gooners at every NLD from next season onwards!

It would be a fitting end for this decade's biggest under-achiever.

If that makes he the biggest under-achiever then what does that make you spuds who have been in his shadow since he has been at Arsenal!

It's weird - since Wenger came to Arsenal, Spurs have finished above every other club but Arsenal. Its almost as if he is obsessed with that...

Wenger has also been more successful than Spuds in that time don't forget..

 

Not so sure. Any team that can humiliate City is going to be pretty hard to beat.
