Net spend only applies over a window, season, or other defined period of time. There's no such thing as net spend for assembling a squad unless you want to subtract the value of the Newton Heath LYR Football Club lads who signed up in 1878.
Surely your squad is a total spend. You can only net who you bought or sold over a window or season or entire prem league existence. As Astro said but Diego is deliberately trying to score points.
Nah, you can't sore points with "net spend" bullshit. If you buy a player for £30m but finance it by selling 2 players for £15m he has still cost you £15m+2 players= £30m
Nope, because I accept the fact that to raise the money some teams have to sell assets. The money does not mysteriously appear, it is just converted from asset to bank balance
Man Utd's squad cost £648m Which is £214m more than any other non-Manc PL team Man Utd currently have £261m of debt #buyingplayersoncreditcard
Tbf nothing is easier than laughing at liverpool fans trying to convince the world net spend means something.
Debt reduced from £800m+ during assembly of squad, new quadrants built at scoreboard end, very high "net spend" on players, very high wage bill yet we can still buy again if we feel the need. Does it not make you wonder where all the money goes to at Liverpool? Same PL money, bigger payout from cup runs, very low "net spend" for years, refuse to pay top wages, borrowed £170m (debt) off owners to build new stand. It must be going somewhere
Only by people who are unable to understand the principle. If you can't then there is no point trying to explain to you.
I would love to know if they would class it as net spend if they got a new player for "player+cash". I can see it now, we just got a top class midfielder for £10m Wow, you lucky sods how did you do that? Oh we just gave them 2 of our players as well
Yep, all started with good ole Rafa. Duped them with that line when he bought Torres for £22m apparently
I just bought a new £120 sky box for a net profit of £80 Had to sell my telly for £200 to achieve it . The box looks good on the stand though
