If a Championship club were suddenly picked from mid-table and placed in the Premier League, then everything that they subsequently did would be tainted.

I can see that Spurs fans are extremely bitter about all of this. I can't blame them, since we were promoted nearly 100 years ago, we've gone on to win the league 13 times to Spurs' paltry 2 times, even winning the league the same amount of times in their backyard as they have in their entire history. The spuds claim 'bribery' is the only reason we were promoted, but cannot provide any credible evidence. Arsenal have gone on to cement their place as the No1 team in London and confirm that they have earned it on playing merit, whilst the spuds kick and scream in our shadow.
