I'm surprised that he got reappointed to Derby, after being sacked there not too long ago.
    It doesn't make sense.

May not be a popular opinion but I do think he was the instigator of the biggest change in direction for us in Cashley's era.

If he hadn't been so bad and put the Club in such a predicament Cashley would never have gone for Rafa. So with due consideration I think Stevie should get a minutes applause in the 24th minute to remember how many points he got during his tenure as Coach. Without Stevie we may never have had Rafa.

Lets have a look at the formidable task facing a genius manager, the way I see it all he had to do was win the game in hand then match the team in 17th place, a team that were in that position for a very good reason , nothing spectacular McClaren actually left you in the above winning position

Yeah, good ole McClaren, left us second bottom with only a quarter of the season to go, we will forever be in his debt for that "winning position" he left us in.

A bit of a strange way to look at it, like saying that if Ossie Ardiles hadn't nearly got us relegated into the third tier we'd have never have got Keegan.

Hate to pick your arguement to bits but if you reconsider the position then you're wrong...again.

We may have had a game in hand but at that time we were, on average, gaining 0.8571 points per game. Therefore in our game in hand we would have gained another 0.8571 points leaving us 0.1428 points still behind.

It also fails to take into account the opposition. As not all opposition are of equal standing. I'm not going to do your job for you but you should also have included a rating system for each team played and each team yet to play both for us and the team placed 17th and then calculated what would have been required of Rafa.

Ouch that really skittles Fredor again. Will he ever get sick of the humiliation?
