I'd wrap Clyne up in cotton wool before and after matches if I were Klopp. If we don't buy full back cover in January I'll be as astounded and I was that we didn't buy cover in the summer!
Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum is set to undergo a scan on Wednesday to determine the extent of his hamstring injury. The Dutch international has returned to Melwood after limping off during the Netherlands’ 1-0 defeat to France in Amsterdam on Monday night. Wijnaldum complained of discomfort in his right hamstring and is a major doubt for next Monday’s Premier League clash with Manchester United at Anfield. Dejan Lovren and Nathaniel Clyne are expected to be fit for the visit of Jose Mourinho’s side having made good progress since picking up knocks in the win at Swansea prior to the international break. However, Adam Lallana’s groin injury remains a source of concern for Reds boss Jurgen Klopp. Liverpool still retain hope that Lallana will be able to feature against United but he has yet to return to full training.
Can isn't a bad replacement to have, but I'm not convinced he actually makes us stronger. Lallana is in form, so he's a loss no matter how you look at it, though we should be able to cover it.
don't agree with stronger at all but waht you have said is what we will do. why won't we be stronger? cos sturridge will play and won't press much if any.
Unless Clyne doesn't make it, we have enough about us for this not to be too concerning imo. Got a good squad of players for midfield/attack so it will still look like a strong Liverpool team and not just players standing in. We'll be fine
Crap. Being refereed by a manc. That's bad because as a manc he's bound to support.... ... Manchester City. We're more of a threat to City than United are so he's going to be biased against us.
The ninja is injured but he'll still out perform Rooney Seriously though, Rooney always turns up against us so don't be surprised to see his best game in months here
His wife is openly a MU fan . He's not going to give any calls in our favour and risk not getting a hummer that night.
Really hope Lallana is fit enough to play. I know many here don't rate him or think he's just on a purple patch, but I think he's massively important to how we play. It's more than just hard work, it's the turnover of possession which he is constantly involved with which starts our attacks off and he is such a good player when it comes to finding space for a pass. In his deeper role, he carried the ball well and linked the ball to the attack effectively. Gini is more replaceable, but Can isn't up to speed yet.
Haha, not just Jimmy. Until the last maybe half year, he was viewed by a fair few people as a luxury player, someone who is a highlight reel player with the stepovers but no product. He's now adding a few goals, but that isn't why he's an important player.
Fair enough, I've always rated Lallana. Certainly hard working enough to warrant a place in Klopps team, and the goals will come, just like we've seen so far
Lallana was crap when he first joined. He's been decent for a while now. He's either more settled now, or perhaps Klopp suits him more. I rate him now.
