I love Wales. Especially the way they blow water out of the top of their heads when they surface...

My mother-in-law is English,my step father was English,my step siblings are English,my best mate is English. They all seem to have enjoyed a "warm welcome" in Wales.Have you ever thought that the welcome you recieved was down to your own behaviour ?

I holidayed in Wales once. Family caravan. It was nice, the family all together and joking about the rain. It was with family friends who were Welsh. I had no idea they bore us such ill will. Maybe I shouldn't have done their daughter in our garage that Christmas. I wonder if that caused some freeze in relations?

They were more into rugby anyway. I hate rugby. It's a game for talentless thugs without the skill to play proper sports and was invented to do something constructive with school bullies. But it was nice we gave the Welsh some cricket. They seem to enjoy the most English of sports.

I prefer to hate the Jocks, actually - skirt-wearing latte drinkers thinking they're descended from short, Australian, anti-semitic warriors.

Welcome to the Premier League, Swansea. Keep West Ham's place warm for them.

Did you know more people in Wales play and watch football than rugby. There are also more teams affiliated to the FAW than the WRU

I know we have probably all be down this path before, but do we really need this on our board? I have no problem with Swansea, in fact I'm quite pleased they got promoted with us, but I am more than capable of going to their board if I want to read about them.

Swimaway(I wish you would) there is nothing to be taken out of context. You think we don't like the idea of a Welsh club in the PL is clear enough. Ok,why would we not like a Welsh club in the PL? You tell us.

Probably best if a mod would close this thread to be honest, it's on all premier league forums and I can see why it pisses people off, but I am just replying because its there, and frankly spurs fan, I don't give a flying **** about your club either, I am thankful you have loaned us Cauker and that is it

No - especially as I am a mild-mannered polite individual who likes to show respect to other people and rarely have problems anywhere !

What clinches it for me is the change in expression once they hear your English accent, or the switching to Welsh once they realise you're not a local - AND the final piece of evidence M'Lud - being told to "F**k off you English c**t" by locals in a shop !

Yes - nice warm welcome for the English in Wales !

Let's be honest here, you are talking about isolated cases here, nobody gives a toss about being english in wales , it's a bit of banter when we play sports against each other and that's it, the halfheads are UK wide and are the same kind of personality no matter where you are.

And FYI for some people welsh is their first language and speak it without thought and switch sometimes in mid sentence , I do it myself at times and as I speak Russian as well it takes conscience thought to change to English at times.

Can't remember us sitting back last year, Toonboy. In fact, that's bollocks. We won more games than anyone else in the Chamionship last season. You don't do that by sitting back. Cardiff played more attractive football? Er......no. "Hoof it to Jay! Hoof it to Jay" was the mantra up the M4, and they paid for it.

My worry is that we're too tippy tappy for the Prem. Blackpool played some great stuff and got relegated. WBA in seasons past the same. There are games where we'll need to win ugly. Just hope that we can do that and enjoy the ride.
