The other player we've bid for

Pardew said we had 2 bids and he thought they would probably be done on deadline day as the clubs waited in case a better offer came in. Claims from twitter (NUFCfans) say we are in talks with Jason Puncheon, and they are trying to verify if this rumour is true. Could be the other player?

Plays as a winger for Southampton I believe, teenager(?) but I havent seen him play, and tbh I'd rather give Kazenga a shot. What do we think of him/the story if true?

EDIT: He's 24 and has had more clubs than Routledge, sounds like a carbon copy of him.

 

I've heard Puncheon is actually quite good but like you say I don't see how he can do anything Kazenga cant

Young and would add competition, wouldn't be a starter though.

I agree Kazenga would probably be the better option than Puncheon. Kazenga has proven himself at that level and he's five years younger (think he's still 19).

 

I have to say I'm sceptical of any player who doesn't have a YouTube compilation.

Did Lua-Lua really do well at a lower level, though? I recall reports from Doncaster that he was distinctly average for them in the Championship.

It seems that his signing would be to replace Routledge, so as has already been said, it's not a ground-breaking transfer. No doubt, if he does move, there'll be "second rate player" jibes and comparisons to Sessegnon that ignore the point that he's not meant to be a star player.

 

Like AG I would prefer lallana. I also wouldn't mind that schneiderlin (spelling ?) lad

 

it's a big step up from league one to the premiership though (it's a cliché, but not without merit)

schneiderlin could be a good signing though, as he's a DM supposedly. If we did that though we'd need to move on a midfielder or two (smithy)

Two very talented under 25 Venezeulan superstars who wouldn't break the bank and would fit in perfectly with our little Spanish group(Guti, Colo and Enrique do need some mates to talk to.. not Xisco though don't rate him at all).

Latest, Puncheon's agent denies any contact from NUFC, very unlikely to be on the move.

If this is the case, who would you like the other player we've bid for to be (realistically)? I'd love us to go for Kranjcar.
