I live in the western end of Hull, although during my working years I helped build many estates in the eastern end of the city. Sometimes I just jump on a bus and go to my old building sites to see them today, I was in Sutton not so long back to see places I had a hand in building. Thing is whilst you are building the places you never see them finished and with the trees planted and peoples personality stamped on their houses they don't look anything like when we first built them, interesting all the same to see the changes.
good to hear you were out and about with the missus Nice food in Hop Pole, nothing flash but consistent and good quality I think And they have Punk IPA on draft...which is a very good thing. !

Not really a beer drinker these days Dennis, it bloats me too much so I switched to wine and spirits, still get pissed but not on so much volume lol. Brandy and red wind my thing now, and more drank at home then out an about. I don't go with those who say drinking at home is a downward slope, my wife and I often drink a bottle or 2 then that's it for a while until we start again. My big binge, if you can call it that, is tea, then I wake up during the night for the loo, bluddy nuisance.
Wetherspoons does seem to be constantly good wherever we have been, earlier on this year we were in Essex and their Wetherspoons was just like anywhere else we had been, same decor, same set up, same decent service and same value for money. Scarborough was the same although I found this builiding to be a gem of a place.
Have you been and given the lad a taste of your fist yet 18? My little ones going to a convent, I won't have these problems to worry about.
Hi Black, sorry for the delay in posting. She had a great day for most of Sunday until very late at night and she found a photo of her and her ex. That was not good news. I finally got her settled and she managed to get up for work on Monday morning. Her boss rang for me to take her home. She managed just over 2 hours work. They said keep her off on Tuesday. Today, Wednesday she managed 4 hours work. Tomorrow she is going to do a marathon and she is planning a 8 hour day. All her work colleagues have been brilliant. She visits the doctor on Friday night and sees a Neuro surgeon on Saturday at Castle Hill. She is taking 2 steps forward and 1 back atm. Thanks chaps, the gods honest truth is this site and this thread have just shown how lovely you all are. I gave the link to this thread to my daughter (she showed me how to do it ) to help her. It has helped her immensely. this is my minutes applause to you all.
No fist required 6.3 He no longer will borrow money from her or treat her like a doormat. His mummy will have to pay for the petrol in his car and buy his dinners. She will soon get fed up of that. My daughter also gave all of her friends up because of him. I have found out this week that a young girl my my work has texted my daughter and they are gonna be arranging something together. I will let you know if I need to borrow some fists. Thanks for the kind offer though
Guys, I work on a ward at HRI and some of the comments on here really touched me,it made me feel good to know we are really appriciated. I love my job, I love helping people, but I know alot of people do get down at work and rather apethetic towards their job. So last night I posted some quotes highlighted from this thread on our intranet site. I really hope me shareing what you guys have said touches other people at work like it did myself and gives them inspiration to carry one doing their best when they may feel a little low I even posted Filey's post for the Hillers so they didn't feel left out I'll post responses when I read the thread on the intranet on monday, yeah thats right we get loads of ****ing time off lol. Thanks again guys, and all of you stay well, if not, god bless, we'll be here for you x
The old Loyds at bottom of the gate is shut Chazz sorry to inform you, its reopening as a yates next month please log in to view this image http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/hull...-a-yates-bar/story-29802098-detail/story.html I did like that one best as it had all the beer and food plus music cos of the old loyds licence i presume
They sell Punk IPA in a pub near me. Smashing drink which is unfortunately over-priced compared to the other draft beers. Have you seen the alcohol free beer they introduced following yet more antii alcohol diatribes about more than a couple of pints being dangerous to life and limb and a threat to civilisation as we know it? Nanny State Beer. Was tempted to buy a bottle just for the label.
You're more than welcome HOH. I've got so much to thank HRI staff for. You people go way above and beyond what I could reasonably expect of you. You're awsome
I have certainly used your services more than once. You guys and gals never cease to amaze me with your dedication and commitment, hats off to you all. From Doctors to cleaners.
Over18 ... You sound like an amazing parent. I honestly and truly hope these problems pass very soon. I am sure with your love and guidance your daughter will find the strength she needs. Love is a great thing. to you too. Keep your head up.
Cheers Qatar for those kind words. Today has been a great day for Beth. Her boss told her to do half a day again today but she also told her that they are taking her on full-time (she was on a probationary period). Baby steps but all good.
