    Am in China (well Hong Kong), working with a guy that knows Ellis well, I will ask the question. Interestingly when I arrived here I quizzed him on the under investment in the summer. His reply was that Short had plenty of money if he actually wanted to invest, but that he felt he is bored of the whole thing. This could mean a sale is possible.

    Interesting - I wish he'd spent more at least on the players we all thought we needed (but none of us know whether we tried to get) but he spent £17m out of his pocket in the close season - £27.1m in total recouping £10m on outgoings.

    27 million quid is a fair chunk of money - just because the mags are spending 60m doesn't mean that we have to (or can?)

    Be interesting to see how that pans out - as I said to Bri - knowing our luck the chinese consortium will be run by Brian Tann, Vincent's brother!
