Half time for other international Saints. Steven Davis scored a pen to help Northern Ireland lead San Marino 1-0. Hojbjerb's Denmark however are losing 2-0 to Poland.
sorry but could have written this before a ball was played. I know it's not England's fault but why the **** are we playing Malta (no disrespect) anyway & didnt you just know we would flatter to deceive. It's the only thing we're consistent at!
Fortunately I only wasted 45 minutes, deliberately missing the first half expecting it to be a war of attrition, with it being more open in the second half after Malta tired. Didn't work out like that, with the second half being dreadful. Well, I say 45 minutes, but in reality I only wasted about 25, before reaching for my iPad and doing something more interesting.
I hate England with a passion. All our best players get tapped up and leave, those they can't prize away they bloody injure.
It is time that International Football was scrapped. Who really enjoyed the garbage served up in the Euro tournament in 2016 and the poverty provided in the World Cup in 2014? The players deserve a rest and quality time with their families, and we fans deserve a rest from the game so that we can enjoy the true summer sports.
I agree, but this would be a part of the dissolution of all national boundaries and the formation of a global anarchist collective in which all people would live in peace and harmony. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one.
I do agree. He has his faults, but when he's fit, he's very good. No doubt. But as a defender, just keep him on his right foot.
FIFA are proposing to extend the World Cup competition to 48x teams - 16x seeded & the other 32x to play a straight knock-out stage meaning 16x countries (teams & fans) will only be at the World Cup for 1x game! ****ing ridiculous imo.
That's easy to say for someone who supports a national team who regularly qualify for big tournaments, but I'm sure it's actually great new to Canadians, Chinese, Kiwis, Scottish, etc etc
From the Welsh perspective, being involved in this year's Euro Championship was great fun even before the first ball was kicked. I said at the time that the attitudes of the Wales and say, the English fans were totally different - we were so looking forward to the tournament, it was fun because we hadn't been to a final in living memory for many of us. Welsh and Icelandic fans loved every second, embraced the experiences and just enjoyed themselves because it was an unique experience and there were no expectations. I'd bet that this is true of all "lesser" countries who don't get to an international championship every two or four years. Going for only one game? It's still an achievement and there is always hope
