Toby wan, the CB Jedi. <applause>

I guess neither of calamity Courtois or Begovic will want to play when
Spurs turn up at Chelsky in a few weeks time. :)

Nice for Alli, but Malta are falling apart as half-time approaches.
This could get grim for them if they don't pull it together soon.

Effiong giving Cahill the slap that his highlights and fake tan deserve.

Just seen Wingnut stop the ball from going for a goal kick. His only contribution.

The sooner this is done and dusted, the sooner that Alli can be subbed
(though the Southgate squad FB eff-up means the Spur-backs are at risk
    of injury :( ) .

Yes good header but how many other opportunities does he waste for the team by being selfish? I know that's a feature of a lot of strikers, but most of them also realise when there's a better option for someone else - sometimes.

Poor second half. Lingard played well overall. Henderson getting lots of praise but he did have all the time in the world to pick passes. Very few other pluses. Wingnut awful. Rooney awful. Sturridge awful apart from the goal. No sign of significant improvement but it's early days.

The BBC scores Rooney's performance as a 5 out of 10. Too many points by about 4 points.

Will it spell being dropped from the squad, let alone out of the team to work on being less crap? Will it ****?

Still, Scotland are currently losing 1-0 to Lithuania. Sorry, Spurf.

How dare they disrupt the PL season with this sh*te.

It gets worse. A laboured performance, devoid of skill and guile resulting in a 2-0 thrashing of a nation of 450,000 people really is the pits.

I'd sooner watch the paint drying championships.

What a ****e England match that was, when oh when will I learn to stop wasting my time.

    A few plus points;

    - No-one got injured
    - Alli looked good, scored one and should have had at least one more
    - Seeing Rooney getting nutmegged by a Malta player just before half-time was hilarious, I almost fell off my seat laughing

Anything less than 5-0 against a team like Malta should be treated as a loss. Any manger that names Rooney in an England squad should be sacked immediately, it's worse than taking a bung.

Is a 2-0 win at home to Malta actually worse than losing 2-1 Iceland? Very few positives from that match, and I include our players in that Alli, Lingard and Henderson were the only players who were better than poor. Would like to have seen Rashford played through the middle when he came on and Southgate showing complete lack of tactical acumen by sending Jamie 'one trick pony' Vardy on against a team who were never going to offer any space in behind.

Southgate doesn't understand the booing of Rooney!!! Mr Southgate just consider it was for you then, for selecting Rooney, does that feel better?

The interview for England manager should not be difficult..

FA Interviewer: Who would you pick for England captain?
    Candidate: Rooney
    FA Interviewer: Next!

Capello, Hodgson, Alladyce!!! how long does it take watching the England team playing slow redundant ineffective football, how long will it take to observe Rooney's part in this? Just the same as the continual picking of Lampard & Gerrard to the detriment of both of them.
Do these managers just pick on reputation? Do they ever watch football?
