Im not answering anymore of your questions. I have given you 2 names and you have tried to twist both. Defoe lucky. Fletcher injury prone.

I posted Defoe was an exception and we were lucky that Altidore was wanted in USA. - FACT
Fletcher was injured after a good start - he never recaptured that form at Sunderland - FACT
Never posted Defoe lucky (he is class) or Fletcher injury prone
    No more questions :emoticon-0148-yes:

Am I missing something here? That's a video of him losing the ball and misplacing passes <laugh>

I did say that the video shows he's not the finished article, I'm not saying that he'll be anything like as good but when he was Asoro's age Ronaldo tried a lot of stuff that didn't work.

You can see he's got skill on the ball, the kind that you can't teach, hard work and experience will teach him how and when to use something from his bag of tricks.

Asoro= the future along with Gooch, Pickford, Watmore etc.
Nothing much more to be said in my opinion. Gain as much as we can from their qualities and when the times right sell them on like most well run buisnesses are run id imagine? Why cash out before the kids have even nurished for a lesser fee ffs?

I read many complaints about the club not signing a striker during the transfer window. I was glad that we did not - as these are the types of players, Graham, Fletcher, Altidore - which often become a blight on the wage bill. In Major League Baseball, occasionally, a minor market team actually wins the World Series. They accomplish this by stockpiling young pitchers, hoping that a few will develop into something special. I much prefer the Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy, Joel Asoro approach.

A lot of youth development rests on opportunity, Rashford is an amazing example, the right chance at the right time and bingo. The other side of the augment is how many players have looked like world beaters at an early stage then just drift into obscurity. Moyes has a good record in youth development, and it could well be the clubs making, if he still has the Midas touch,

I prefer it too in theory but I'm certain that if Defoe was injured for the season and we inexplicably didn't sign a senior striker in January then we'd be down, let alone win anything.

It's great to see the young lads coming through though and as Clockstander says Moyes is good at handling that.
