Surely someone will sign her after the showcase?

Konta wins 6-4 6-0 and is in the Beijing semi-finals.

You'd like to think so, but sadly it's not that simple. Got to get them there first!

The amazing thing is, this is nothing new these days. I am continually astounded by how even professionals screw up presentations, so this...

    upload_2016-10-7_16-19-46.png

...could possibly be a metaphor for the times. ;)

Of course, these days it's so unimportant knowing how to spell. Even less so how to spell check.

Even professional sign writers can't spell now....not just shameful, but shows lack of pride in their work.

In fairness, we didn't do it (that wouldn't have happened then!) - it was done by a German fan! So I think we can forgive him.

Oh, I'm not seeking to blame, just making the observation.

    Reminds me of a joke.

Two signwriters working on the Pollocks building. The guy up the ladder reaches down to his mate and says "just the P in Pollocks to go" .... His mate says "sorry we only have a 'B' left"

His mate thinks for a moment: "Oh hell," he says "We must have made a right mess of the London Brick Company"

    Ta Daa!

Cats are OK, but dogs rock.

I hate dogs with their tails cut so close. Who wants to see an anus? (Don't answer that). Thank goodness it's illegal to dock dogs tails here.

I guess the dog that walked off is a critic. :)

Docking a dog's tail is just wrong. I know that one of the original reasons was for practical purposes on working dogs e.g. Jack Russell's ratting, Spaniels for hunting but mostly it was just for cosmetic reasons. I was glad when it was banned here. The dog shows so much of his emotion with his tail. Who can resist a dog wagging his tail so much that he looks like he is wiggling with happiness?

A dog uses its tail to communicate....you put it at a disadvantage when it meets other dogs as it struggles to show the right amount of deference and submission....like walking into a pub all cocky and wondering why you get beaten up.

They just don't have the money or the resources to cope with natural disasters sadly. Their buildings wouldn't have stood a chance against such a storm.

Waiting for Murrays match which was delayed. What delayed it....only a little matter of Konta beating Madison Keys to get into the final.....only mentioned after she won. I presume Sky haven't paid to cover the women's matches, because otherwise disgraceful for them to witter on filling time whilst live tennis was being played.
