Labour lost a seat in Hull but increased their share of the vote in Bolton, Caerphilly and Haringey.

Only in Hull did the UKIP vote increase.

I prefer Labour to come up with policies that differentiate them from the Tories to give people a choice. The voters have never been offered a left-wing manifesto with the whole Labour party united behind it so we've no idea whether voters want that or not.....

It should be but I was expecting Pete to come on with a triumphalist blast at me via a link to O.U.P. He missed the chance because he is semi-literate.

Pete ... the queue of like minded people in your Greggs does not represent "the voters" ... voting habits and allegiance change over time ... that's why we get changes in government ... you haven't really thought this politics thing through, have you?

They might think they don't want it because the media keep telling them it will be bad for the country. What they would decide if they had access to unbiased reviews of manifestos is something we will never know, because the people who benefit from the Tories being in power control most of the media.
