Berater bekannt U 18 is the name of his Agent company. They represent Scandinavian Youngsters. Won't be long until he'll change representation so they might fancy a pay off before they lose him as a client, given he'll be the hottest prospect they've had in a while.
The boy seams to have his head screwed on, he chose us because he wanted the chance to play first team football, he has that chance here with Moyes in charge.I hope he gives us a year or two before he moves on. Or better still Chelsea or City buy him for say 20m and leave him with us for a year or two.
Sunderland striker Joel Asoro strikes first U21 international goal for Sweden Sunderland striker Joel Asoro notched his first goal for Sweden Under-21s today – to keep alive their European Under-21 Championship finals hopes. The 17-year-old netted the third Swedish goal in a 3-0 Group Six qualifying tie in Estonia. Filip Dagerstаl’s eighth-minute goal set the tone for the visitors, with Muamer Tankovic making it 2-0 right on half-time. Asoro, who made his U21 international debut last month, made the game safe with his strike on 53 minutes. Sweden, with one game to go, are top of the group on 21 points, a point better off than Croatia and Spain. Only the group winners are guaranteed a finals place. Sweden host Croatia in their final qualifier on Monday, while Spain tackle Estonia. http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport...t-u21-international-goal-for-sweden-1-8168407
I was looking for a clip of the goal which I didn't find but here's a vid of him which I think showcases his ability and also where he's at now, which is not the finished article. Bags of talent though clearly.
There are some highlights here (in Swedish), his goal is at 1:20 http://www.fotbollskanalen.se/sverige/tv-asoro-malskytt-nar-sverige-tog-ett-steg-narmare-u21-em/
He has to score though, I thought Watmore was going to be our future striker. And are we buying for the future ?
If we spend the money on players who can score 15 goals per season great We'd spend it on injury prone over the hill experienced players who will be here for a short time or even worse get loans ........ and slip slide to the feeder league No we need players for the future and use money that we should already have to build up our wafer thin squad.
My point is we need players for now more than we need players for the future. The future is a luxury we're not assured of. We go down, we likely lose this kid on the cheap. You can only build a future on a solid present.
I think hes an exception - and he was looking to get back in to the premier league and we were lucky that Altideer was wanted in the America Who else have we bought recently who was a goalscorer ?
Totally agree mate but we need to build with promising youngsters and our squad is so lightweight I would rather retain him for a while as with so much interest in him he must have great talent. I remember when we had Ally Macoist as a 17yr old and we sold him to Rangers as a makeweight in a deal - we must shoot ourselves in the foot like this again
It did'nt last for long - injury intervened but thats the point - yes Asoro could get injured but would recover much faster than an aging player and we are not losing any value. I'm not confident we'd spend any money well and we have not got a big enough squad to sell our better players if we aim to stay in the premier league Sell and certainly rebuild in the feeder league - thats what will happen. Wait till your favoured Moyes has at least one meaningful transfer window to work in. KTF
