I came on here to bring this up. I am a fan of the original movie (inspired so much later on) but this first episode was just incredible. If you've not seen it, go watch it. Sublime.
Having watched the first episode of Westworld, it's sort of entertaining because it throws up a few interesting concepts, but it is a bit formulaic, or at least the way the drama was laid out made it seem that way. Not sure I'll bother watching further episodes, but one never knows. It certainly didn't grab me, that's for sure.
A friend is about to fly out to the Dominican Republic which has also been hit and apparently Cuba has suffered badly as well.
This just reminds me of when I was in the States in 2005. While in Florida I saw the damage Hurricane Andrew had done a week or two before and I was in New Orleans just 2 weeks before Katrina. Very very lucky.
It's dreadful how slow recovery was in New Orleans....can understand in Haiti and other poor countries, but the US government soon forgot about New Orleans once it was out of the immediate news. I know the areas affected were hotspots of criminality, but most were just poor. Sadly a lot of good people took relocation as a chance to escape the area and haven't returned (I believe).
A couple of dudes have made a pretty cool teaser for Fable's London show, but moreover it has a bit of 'new song' in it too -
Murray wins by taking 2nd set 6-2, but not like it sounds. Kyle broke Murray once and nearly did it twice. A very promising player with a good temperament.
ARGH! Christ, you're absolutely right!!! How did I not notice that?! Oh well, too late now. It's just a little bit of promo up until the gig, then it'll disappear so we'll have to live with it (as it's gone out now!) Good spot though.
I'm really hopeful that Kyle will be a huge success in a couple of years' time. Working with Andy as often as he does is obviously such a big advantage, let's just hope he keeps fit and well.
