"Sunday week" is a shortening of "a week next Sunday". So not this coming Sunday but the next one. Which, in the context of football, basically means boring.
Or, as my dear old Dad used to enquire regularly, if it takes a week to walk a fortnight, how many oranges in a bunch of grapes?
Still 1-0....England will qualify if score stays like this. We have dominated, but should have scored again....1 nil always risky.
Is this an IOW ghetto expression? Da next game is Sunday week man! That ofsted guy has a lot to answer for. All my pensioner friends keep saying they cant understand my ghetto expressions.
Tuesday, Sunday week etc is a common expression....never met anyone who didn't understand it. Kids, eh.
