She can come stay with us. There are frequent flights to Atlanta from here and almost nonstop flights to London from Atlanta.
I see, as others say she should probably share a flat with some randoms. I find a lot of people have done that although it's not something i've ever done but i've been fortunate to either rent by myself or rented with my cousin. If it's to experience the london life, i would definitely recommend renting within zone 1/2 because further out and it's a mission to get home and i found has made me less sociable (or maybe i'm getting old). However there is always the cost issue. London normally pays quite well though depending on her profession so she should be able to afford it if she has found a job.
It's a break from living with her mother. She's only waitressing at some trendy cafe in Soho, but reckons she'll clear a grand a month which will do her.
First hurricane in 20 years to threaten SC. They usually either land on Florida or hit North Carolina ( they jut out more to the East so catch the hurricanes heading North)
I see.... tbh, a grand wont stretch you far in london. Unless shes living sharing a flat in a room in some council estate, she's pretty much left with f all disposable income. Travelling in zone 1/2 alone is going to be around 4 quid a day (on the most basic to and from work) so thats 80 quid a week. There are lots of places to go for free though and it's still a good laugh. I can see why you want her to bunk somewhere for now XD.
Sounds fun there rhc. A bit of the real world before that masters is very useful imo. Just give her zingy adress.. I presume this has not yet been suggested.... ....100 times yet
So... I moved into the office next door to mine. Even that short distance was a bit of a pain with the fish tank and the philodendron I have growing out the back of it. Reattaching the vines to the new office wall with 3m hooks was giving me a laugh. I've got the fish tank in one corner and some of the vines going in opposite directions... The vines are so long now they completely cover the width of three of my walls now that I've stretched them out. Give me 12 months and I think they will meet wrapping the room around the ceiling entirely
Doing very well. Does his job without really being noticed. Very efficient player, good positional sense.
Cheers. Had a few cracking games for us. Plenty of potential, not always the inclination though. Love Rafa up here, the blokes not far off a legend already.
Hope Rafa brings you straight back up.............be great to see him back in the Prem...................and yourselves of course
They'll all be blown down by Sunday. How does a philodendron grow out of the back of a fish tank anyway?
He's doing very well, would love him to get his first goal I think it will open the floodgates for him.
I built a slate planting shelf at the back of the tank and filled it with gravel. There are a few holes to allow water flow between tank and planting shelf. The roots are in the water the rest of the plant is above. (Goes without saying, you can't grow any plant like this only certain ones). The plants draw ammonia, nitrates, nitrites out of the water keeping the water pristine for the fish. Fish poop and uneaten fish food as it breaks down feeds the plant roots.
