It occurs to me that with all these mid season internationals....do these games mess with their club performances. With their clubs they play one way but when playing for their country these players may have to play another way.
That may be why players seem likelier to be injured. They have a different routine, a different system and different teammates, and so are likelier to put a foot wrong.

There is a phrase that the people get the government you deserve. In the case of the Spanners, their supporters have got the owners they deserve and the owners the club they deserve. All we need now is for Nemesis to plan that they can be relegated when Spurs visit "their" stadium.
