    -4 on pts .
-4 on GD (which includes a -7 on GF : the most attackingest side ... in the world. Ever :D) .
Yeah, using fishy logic they are well ahead of the rest of the PL sides above them.

I pointed out that you went on general sale at the same venue with far less tickets.
You then compared times, claiming that you sold out more quickly than we did for three times less tickets and three times less games.
We've sold out Wembley virtually on our own against relatively unattractive opposition, while you've struggled to sell a third against a bigger side.

Yeah, that's a bit worse actually, isn't it? Two games a week makes things a lot tougher.

You haven't sold out Wembley on your own. You've spent a week on general sale at £20 a ticket. That's my point <ok> We didn't struggle to sell out, considering once tickets were available to those that don't have a membership nor season ticket they lasted twenty minutes.

Relatively unattractive opposition? It's the Champions League mate. We'd played United about 3 months previously, they're hardly a big draw for us.

It took you a week to sell out on general sale at £20 yet you think it's more embarrassing that it took 20 minutes us to sell out for a lot more money. Don't be daft mate <ok>

Like the two games a week this squad played when we got 103 points in the Championship? <rofl>

We're there to be beaten. Everyone wants to beat the Champions. Winning the title put us on a plinth to be shot at. You may experience that one day.

We are though. Spurs are a massive club. With a great team and a top notch manager.

Massive team the kind of team that would not get a nose bleed fighting at the top end of the table season in season out.

    Smiley face thing goes here.

You're not selling out Wembley. You sold out less than a third of it when playing Man Utd.
Monaco sold 300 tickets. Moscow won't sell very many, somewhat understandably. We'll see about Leverkusen.
You're comparing, by your claim, the sale of 30,000-odd tickets to that of 84,000+ on three occasions. Think about it.

That massive that it took a week of selling tickets at £20 a pop for your biggest game of the season?

Come off it mate. You're the 4th biggest team in London. <laugh>

Why are you comparing the Championship to playing in the Premier League and Champions League?

We don't even have to make a hypothetical argument to see that your form is currently worse than last season.
You're literally arguing with reality and the statements of your own manager, for some reason.

Have you gone soft in the head or something? <laugh>

We sold about 26k tickets for Wembley. Considering we've got 27k members + STHs that's a very good percentage for a friendly.

It then took about 20 minutes to shift the remaining 3k as our memberships are limited.

On the other hand, it's taken a full week of you shifting tickets at £20 to day trippers to sell out for your biggest game for years (?).

Eh? You suggested that we're underperforming because we're playing 2 games a week, which is obviously not the case. This squad has played 2 games a week for the majority of their careers.

We're underperforming because 1) We're not at the usual class of Premier League Champions and 2) Everyone wants to beat us.

And again, you're attempting to compare selling what we do for a normal home game to selling three times as much.
We've done it three times and yet you think selling a third of that for one game is somehow better?

It's not our biggest game for years, either. Leverkusen are hardly the biggest name around, are they?
We've played bigger sides in the Champions League. We've played bigger names in the Europa, frankly.
Not knocking them as a team, but they're not one of the first teams that you look for in the draw, are they?

This squad isn't the same one that played in the Championship and playing two second tier teams is not the same as playing two first tier ones.
You can't prepare in the same way that you were able to last season. Your weakness on set-pieces demonstrates this well.

Ranieri pointed out that you looked less energetic and quick than Southampton, as they were able to rotate midweek.
He said he'd have to look into doing it, as it was having an affect on your displays.
"Everything is a new experience. Now I have to decide whether to give a rest to players."
    Is he wrong?

<laugh> Are you mental mate? You're the one that felt the need to compare.

I don't think that selling 29k for a friendly is an achievement at all, but I do think that bumping a thread to boast that, after taking a full week, you've sold out a Champions League game on general sale at £20 is really quite funny <laugh>

I know that you're a bit special AK, but you seem to be even more special on this thread.
It's about Spurs not selling out Champions League games at Wembley, which we've done three times out of three.
I'm not sure how you missed that. Well I am, but I'll pretend otherwise.

You didn't play a friendly at Wembley, by the way. It was a competitive game.
You failed to sell it out to your members, for some reason. Your tickets were also £20.
Assuming that we should sell three times as many tickets to ours is a bit odd, by comparison.

Vardy, Drinkwater, Mahrez, Morgan and Schmeichel were all starters in that side and King, Wasilewski, Schlupp were all in it.

Not to mention Ulloa at Brighton and Gray at Birmingham.

That's 10 of our 18 that are all used to playing twice in a week.

The difference here is that we spent Saturday getting spanked at Old Trafford and then had a real backs to the wall win against Porto on the Tuesday before playing an entirely rested Southampton. It's obviously going to show that we've got a shallow squad in scenarios like that.

Against Southampton we looked tired towards the end of the game. But we're not 12th in the league because we're tired. We're 12th because we've played some strong teams away from home who are hurting because we showed them up last season.

Ranieri will have to go from no rotation at all to rotating like every side that plays two games in a week. Just as we did when we were in the Championship.

Blimey this is like pulling teeth. <laugh> <doh>

You, bizarrely, came over here to brag about selling out for a Champions League game.

I, rightly, point out that it's not an achievement because you've been selling them for a week at £20.

You, bizarrely, try and make out that we've done worse for a friendly (you get 6 subs ffs, it's definitely a friendly).

    I, rightly, laugh at you.

    Capiche?

Vardy played 41 games in total in the Championship season that you got promoted.
He only played 3 less last season and would play more in this one, if he was playing every game.
The same applies to most of the individual players, which is why it's relevant to the whole squad and not single people.
Mahrez played 19 times though, so I've no idea why you think that he was playing so frequently.

Those players aren't and weren't used to playing twice in a week and that wouldn't even be at the same level, anyway.
The squad as a whole would've played slightly more often that you did last season, but far less than this one so far.
That's why you need a stronger squad and to be able to rotate players without it damaging your form.

I didn't think that it would be so relevant to you, because of the way that you play, to be honest.
The loss of Kante's hurting you, so it's hard to judge how much of it's down to that.
Nothing to do with other sides being out to get you though, in my opinion.

It's like you've been hit in the head a lot. Are you a sparring partner for Anthony Joshua or something?
You struggled to sell out three times fewer tickets for three times less fixtures at the same price. Do you understand? Probably not.

Mahrez signed in January, Vardy was injured for a while (hence only 37 league games).

Kante improves any side wanting to utilise him as a box-to-box midfielder. Of course we miss him.

We play without the ball for 90 minutes. It's far more tiring than playing with it.

We're still building as a club, last season surprised everyone. We're nearly at a point where we can have a full squad and bench that is strong enough to start Premier League games.
