The forum has been awash with negativity since the weekend. Particularly criticism of players. To be honest I think it is just insane and highlights the negativity of some of our fans. People weren't happy when we got promoted and now are unhappy with losses against team with far greater resources who have spent far more! We need to lighten up. We have had a fantastic start which has outdone anyone's expectation. I also believe we will stay up and take more points in the next 7 games which provides an easier run. People have been complaining about clucas again which is just unfair the lad has been fantastic this year on a level he has never experienced before, also lets not forget he wasn't starting at the end of last season! So to do what he has has been phenomenal. David Marshall - ffs! He is a great keeper and those saying he wasn't for Cardiff want their heads looked at. Robbo - the lad has again been outstanding this season. Not at his best at weekend but is facing top class wingers week in week out and has been great. Further he was the player of the season on this board last year! And I think he will be again this year. He had a ropey start last season and came back stronger (mind he got dropped for a few games and clucas played LB, November I think?). Anyway the lad is class that is why the big teams are linked with him. People on here moaning saying there is a reason no one big has bought him yet!! FFS he is 22 and will without doubt go to a bigger team. Because he hasn't yet isn't a bad thing and we should enjoy him while we can. The likes of dio, harry and maloney just aren't good enough but are trying! Dio runs like a headless chicken for 90 and will never be a pl player but we should get behind him as he's trying! Rant over - it's not so bad we have some great talent and should support them !!
I'm fine with how it's going! Our season starts again next week! We could have lost these games AND got injuries? So Alls good with me!
I've not read a bad word written about Clucas this season.there were a few of us last season who felt he needed a rest.most of the negative vibes are aimed at the owners.otherwise not sure where you are coming from
Too much to expect too much not to much? I agree. Bunch of whinging drama queens. Bruce too negative. Phelan great and wins games. Oh. Hang on. Bruce would never have lost a game three nil. Phelan clueless. Blah blah. It's a season contest, not a monthly competition.
A point a game? Er yeah, doing fine to stay in the league. Just have to keep the squad tight and let everybody have a role to play.
Robertson has been overhyped as a defender, maybe he will go onto 'bigger' clubs as you put it, or maybe he won't, I think it's too early to tell.
Maybe it just "the time of the season". I saw Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent still playing with the Zombies at Cornbury. With them and other longstanding band members for combines age it must be the oldest band I ever seen.
Good old boy that Colin Blunstone. You can't be that young yourself if you went to Cornbury ps I was there myself couple of years ago...
People go overboard either way , usually depending on the last result My realistic expectation was that we would go down just based on the players available to whoever was picking the team In the Premier League we are going to lose a lot of games whatever tactics we employ
Nicely put NT - I think what you describe is the modern way, the highs are just a bit too high, and the lows are way too low, basically ..... some football fans are just a bit bi-polar!
last season, I cant remember Clucas being bad.. I dont think that he has been as abject as ppl say this season either. we have had a terrible run of games, and tbh our season will start after the international breaks. 7 points from 7 games is 1 helluva return. its like we have taken a point off Chelsea, ManU, Leicester and Liverpool. it could be worse, we could be Slumberland!
Not as old as him but probably the older end of the posters on here. Cornbury is a bit different to most festivals but its convenient for us and my wife likes the friendly atmosphere.
Robertson has improved defensive wise, but I don't think he is going to be a top player, as he is still not good enough in that area. What I have seen of Tymon so far, he looks a much better all round left back, defends better, and still gets forward with pace. I am quite happy with where we are at present, hopefully, can start to pick up points now on.
