May knows this isn't good. She knows the whole mess isn't good, but she has to do the best she can with it.

Problem is, she's having to play party politics with the likes of Barmy Boris and Fox.

These banks will go, if the cost of leaving Europe is deemed to be too high. If they do, it will be disastrous for the U.K. economy.

Ft reporting that UK will seek access to single market on a sector by sector basis with priorities being automotives, pharmaceuticals and finance.
    EU representatives have said
'Even if such sectoral deals were politically possible, Brussels would as a minimum insist on the UK committing to regularly accept its rules. London would surrender control over those sectors, and potentially require permission to change laws while maintaining access.'
    ie no taking back control.

Nice try, but trust me, what Kustard, or you think of me is a personal irrelevance.

I don't think anything of you. It's just that you react whenever he makes a comment about you. Just ignore him.

I watched May being interviewed on the BBC breakfast programme. As ever she trotted out cliches and sound bites. I thought she'd be a strong leader but so far she's been Blair in a trouser suit. Who is pulling her strings? For Pete's benefit, it's a civil servant not a politician.

It's not really that amazing. Stone cold racists like Kustard, Pete and Ballymore's Teaboy would happily live in poverty if it meant there were no scary foreigners stealing their benefits and banging their (step) daughters.

I saw May talking too. Sound bites.

She really hasn't got a clue how she's going to resolve the need to get a favourable settlement with the EU, and keep the three Barmy Brexiteers from dragging the country down into suicide creek!...

It would be interesting to hear the views of one of the middle aged bigots on the fact that the pound is ****ed.

Perhaps they genuinely don't care as they never travel abroad and don't understand the impact on the cost of living.

Or perhaps they genuinely don't care as they think it's a price worth paying to get rid of the foreigners.

I suspect none of them will be brave or clued up enough to express an opinion beyond "if you don't like it tea boy, **** off to the yid's paddling pool".

That seems to be about the level of the usual response from Brexit brigade's intelligentsia that inhabit this thread.

It's been made clear to me by what's been posted over the weeks by the Brexit mob that immigration was the overriding factor. Economy?? Well, the gvt will take care of that, won't they??

We're off to Rome in a couple of weeks. Not the cheapest place to go at the best of times but it will be particularly expensive this time.

I appreciate that the old bigots will read this and think "why the **** would any English man go to Rome, it's been centuries since they had an empire?".

Went to Florence a long time ago but only for the day. Italy in general is amazing, probably my favourite country to visit as it has everything. Capri is paradise in my opinion. We went there for part of our honeymoon. This Rome trip is our first attempt at a city break with the kids. Stanette is only 7 but likes a bit of culture, Stan Jr is a typical 10 year old boy so looking at ruins isn't really his thing. But he has read all the Roman Mysteries books so we thought this was the "boring" city break that he'd enjoy. I've been to Rome a few times and love it. It's mental but a stunning city. It will seem expensive though (got our country back etc).
