Don't know what an appearance costs us, but the economics of the situation is a fair point. As to goal scoring, I'd sooner put money on him finding the back of the net than Cousins
Cousins also has quite an unimpressive goal return career to date (also seven) but is five years younger.
Can't agree with that as Henry has been a brilliant servant for QPR and every manager has played him. Sandro does not sit in a disciplined way IMO
He is very attack minded and gets in good positions without doubt but no way is he a 10M player and i think he is out of position more times than he is in it ... for a player that needs to mop up and control the game he is poor but saying that he is from brazil so is always looking for a goal
Seems like you were selling him short, as he actually just hit double figures with us (10). Only another £1.4m for him. Assuming he doesn't play and gets no ' thank you for walking on to the pitch' money. What a farce this club is.
You are correct. I took my figures from Soccerbase which didn't count his time at Internacional (who?). Still, seven goals in six years in England doesn't scream goal machine.
Was. Under Hughes and Redknapp. Seems quite well run now under Hoos. Whatever Sandro has in his contract is not made by our current Management. That he's been on the Bench the last 2 games as well as his appearances in the Cup make that he's on appearance payments, look doubtful.
I would have thought that Ferdinand is the one that deserves most of the credit for the more sensible approach to players' wages. Hoos is more seat stickers and toilets.
And the Telegragh perhaps. But I think the whole Club seems better run these days, not players wages in particular, and since the time Redknapp went and Les and Hoos look to be running the show. All involved deserve credit for this imo.
You can be a brilliant servant but can still chase shadows, miss tackles, fail to see your opponents runs, have an inability to pass forwards and run past any other outfield player
