Ethernet cable connects your router to the box. If your router is in another room, use powerline connectors.

You can run Kodi via your computer and stream t to your TV (if its a smart one)

But if you do buy a box, get one quick as they may ban them from being supplied fully loaded.

I have firestick loaded and works very well for the costs.
Cancelled sky sports couple of months ago from virgin media, and what did the dozy twats do - they have now offered me free sky sports for next 6 months!
so I use firestick to watch 3 o'clock games and all the latest movies:)

Yeah you can plug them in all over the place it's just a signal booster. I just move mine around to whichever room I'm using.

You're talking about powerline connectors, luv. You can buy them with different transfer speeds.

Top of the range is the Devolo 1200mbps.

That's good to know, I got given mine and they work fine but if they go pop I'll have a proper look at what to get.

I'm using TP link 500 here atm. But I'm thinking of going for the Devolo 1200. Not cheap, but supposedly the best.

I have a fully loaded one from Amazon. Leelbox Q1

No buffering and HD quality films.

It's all down to the internet. I have fibre optic and have no issues whatsoever. Even the sports rarely cuts off. Occasional freeze when watching some sports, but no big deal.

@Sweats. it's a massive money saver. I'm getting rid of Sky & Netflix at the end of this month, probably save £50 a month.

The box cost £30 all ready to go.

    Take your pick!

The adaptors are needed if your router cannot be connected directly to your box.
Thanks for that, luv. I'll look at those.

One if the reviews I read had tested the actual transfer speeds. That's where the Devolo came out on top. Real speed, not theoretical.

I have Vodafone fibre optic and its perfect.

Use devilsports (I think that's what it's called!). Much, much better than modbro for sports imo.

Modbro is OK, just keeps freezing on me.

Exodus for films and boxsets is good enough, seems to have everything on there.

    Happy days

SportsDevil Crap picture quality for me on footy streams but I have a now TV box if it's a big game. Exodus is king mate it has the lot.

Have you skinned Kodi yet? If you change the skin to Amber it gives you a favourites section so that you can save your own list of films and TV shows.

Best TV add on for Kodi is Freeview, gives you all the UK Freeview channels.

Tbh mate I've done very little as it seems so easy to just leave it how it is, haven't had any issues yet other than the odd freeze.

I'll take a look later, a favourite bar would be useful.

Bought 5 more boxes so I have one every TV, kids love it!

I didn't originally buy one as it seemed complicated but it's so easy if already loaded

Yeah the fav tab is great as you can just save all your fav shows in there. Just go to settings, appearence and it shows the skin and says get more, I've tried loads and Amber is the best.

That Freeview add on is great.
