We used to have a cat called Purdey. Tiny ginger female that turned up on our doorstep, pregnant as it turned out. She was only about 6 months old herself. Wasn't bothered by storms but was soon in charge of the other cat and dog.
Tyson Fury announces his retirement from boxing...........nothing to do with failing a drug test for cocaine then.
Personally I think he had a rather easy run through to the World Title, and then an 'easy' title fight against an underwhelming Klitsch. After that I expected him to retire but they arranged the rematch and now he is retiring after that has been cancelled. But at the end of the day he is world heavyweight champion so fair play to him. Definitely not the best technically, nor really exciting in the ring, but very difficult to beat and obviously being 6 ft 9 has it's advantages. An embarrassment out of the ring. How special would an AJ v Klitsch fight be, but not sure AJ would risk it at this stage. More likely someone from the second tier (Parker would be a good fight for him). Wilder still on his way back from injury.
Was only saying that to a mate at the weekend, as we were talking about the aircraft. We both always intended to get around to it.
I didn't. "Poor Francis" could have meant anything. I did have something in my eye though. Saw the 1970's series and read the books so I knew it was coming. They did it very well.
Me too. The closest I got to this plane was when, for whatever reason, it did a fly past, over Southampton airport, 2 days running, when I was stood outside Mansbridge school, waiting for my boys to come out. Just wish there had been notice of the event, so I could have had a camera handy.
Very lucky to have been on board at the Farnborough Air Show in 74 and then, about 20 years later, flown from NY to London. Fabulous plane - sadly missed. Bit cramped inside and very hot if you had a window seat, like I did. But still a memory I'll cherish forever.
Maria Shriekapova's appeal decision is expected later today. Bet they'll cut the ban to a year, the snivelling cowards...
http://news.sky.com/story/tennis-star-maria-sharapovas-doping-ban-cut-by-nine-months-10605238 Reduced to 15 months. Back next April so it will be quiet for a little bit longer.
https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/es...stalker-woke-bed-stroking-093014252--ten.html Murray reports that he is being stalked by a woman who gets jobs in hotels to get close to him. He woke up at 7 one morning to find her stroking his arm. mmmm....sounds like a plan
Erm..? Absolutely horrendous. Sharapova: "In so many ways, I feel like something I love was taken away from me and it will feel really good to have it back." She could not "accept" the "unfairly harsh" ban
