    Good Morning Everyone,

Leeds made it four wins from five at the weekend courtesy of goals from Hernandez and Captain fantastic Kyle Bartley.

Surely, even the most pessimistic fans amongst us (you know who you are) have to admit the pendulum is starting to swing in our favour.

Will Bridcutt and Berardi be able to force their way back into the team?

Attendances are on the up too. 27,350 watched Saturdays derby.

    Thoughts?

Roberto Di Matteo is due to be sacked by Villa following their abysmal start to the season.

    Thoughts?

Not only have GFH gone but gfh.com has gone too.

    The website has expired.

It has been snapped up by a Chinese owner.

You couldn't make it up <doh>

    Who watched the Ryder Cup?

Disappointing yes, but what was up with the crowd?

Some of them should have been locked up for public order offences.

There's supporting your team, and there is unsportsmanlike conduct.

    Thoughts?

Morning troops: great weekend of sport if you forget the Germans sabotaging Hamiltons car. Golf was great even though we lost to a better prepared team who played some great golf. Leeds winning yet again.

We still need to find our scoring boots as Wood missed at least 2 goals (Not having a go at him) we need better ball, earlier ball and we will win a game 4 or 5 nil. Confident it will happen soon but scary to think that we pile up the pressure because we cant score early.

As far as stupid fans go, look no further than West Ham. Fights between themselves, seats ripped up and even one nobjocky with a knife. We all subsidised that stadium which allowed the club to spend more money on players than they ever could before. Glad the wheels have come off and the fans wanting Big Sam back

    Morning Doc, and welcome back.

Wood will never be a natural goal scorer, but he gets himself into good positions. We will need Sacko, Hernandez and others to chip in more than a few to get to where we need to be....

Morning all, agree with all previous comments, nearly threw the remote at the TV when Hamiltons engine went, turned the golf off early, the Americans wound me up too much

Morning all. Great weekends sport. Personally wanted the USA to win. The Ryder Cup could have been in serious trouble with another couple of European wins.As for the fans, as one of the commentators said, 99.9% were terrific and there was a handful of gobshites. Europe have had them too when it was played in Europe. Europe had too many rookies and having to play an over the hill golfer like Westwood, with stalwarts like Poulter and G Mac no longer available, show how small a pool Europe now have to pick from. Paul Casey would have been a huge asset but removed himself from selection availability.
On to Leeds matters, weve passed my ten game period I harped on about and feel able to assess progress properly. Virtually all Monks, Clotet, Cellinos signings ( I dont really care whos responsible) have been a class ahead of what weve been presented with over the past seven or eight seasons and clearly the fans see that with rising attendances. Were getting four times what the wallies can get at a home game. YES four times and rising. For first time in many seasons, Im actually looking forward to my next trip over rather than doing it out of a sense of duty. Anyone else around for that Villa match?

Hamilton's engine blowing up added to my weekend not detracted from it. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

As for the golf, they set the course up as a birdie fest to suit them... As is their prerogative. Made for great viewing... Garcia 9 under par for a half!

As for the important stuff... Good win for the boys, important to bounce back straight away from the Bristol game.

Morning all, hold my hands up and admit I was probably wrong about Monk (although I did say I'd give him six more games!). I do think Pontus and O'Kane in the side have made the difference as well as Mowatt spending more time on the subs bench. We still need more quality if we are to push on further so let's hope Cellino (if he's still here) spends some money in the January window. Trouble is over 3 mill is gonna be needed just to get Pontus so I doubt we will have funds to get new players unless we sell Taylor and he ain't gonna fetch much now.
Still hoping Roofe will come good, there is a player in there somewhere. Needs a goal to lift his confidence.
We are certainly battling now and seem a have a great team spirit, long may it continue. I fully expect our fortunes to turn around now I live in Spain and can't get to games. :emoticon-0121-angry

Good shout Eire maybe its time the selection policy was changed so that players based in USA can get qualifying points over there. Love Westwood and just like Monty the best European players for years who could never win a Major, but always gave us commitment and results in the Ryder. Sorry Lee but you let your captain down this time, and 2 time Major winner Kymer also.

Luke Donald, Paul Casey, Poulter would have been a better choice as we had 6 rookies which is too many. The debate now will be about darren and was he good enough or were the players not good enough

Was a good result against Barnsley, they have been a thorn in our side on many occasions, just a couple of pieces in the jigsaw and we can progress to maybe the playoffs.

Seems to be some favouritism in the German garage towards Rosberg, well it is a kraut car at the end of the day, before Hamilton went to Mercerdes they were just middle of the road racing team, and that silver spoon fed twot Rosberg was lucky to be around at the time, tell em to fck off Hamilton and go to Ferrari.

Darren Clarke is to blame over the Ryder Cup going over the pond to the gob ****e septics, what the fck was he doing picking Lee Westwood and Martin Kaymer, his answer was experience, bollocks Clarke, did the young Belgium Pieters have experience, no, did he step up to the plate, yes, Clarke should have picked people in form, wild cards should of been Casey and Knox who play all there golf in USA.

Now that's the sporting world sorted going to have a snooze :emoticon-0105-wink:

    Morning all.

Just a few comments from Saturday's match.

We did really well to hold on for the win. Felt sure with all the long balls and long throws into the box that we'd eventually concede the equalizer. The fact we repelled all they threw at us was impressive. Bartley was superb and with Jansson we have that area well and truly sorted.

Latest observations on Phillips. First half though he did nothing wrong he was frustrating me because he constantly received the ball on the half turn...problem was his half turn was backwards and this then resulted in him passing back to the centre halves who then passed it along the defensive line. Too slow and ponderous getting us nowhere. Had his half turn be more positive like O'Kane and Hernandez do then he could have really got us playing.

Second half he was outstanding. The best I've ever seen him play, kept closing their players down, timing tackles and interceptions superbly. Don't even remember him giving a foul away. If he can play like that all the time, positive, aggressive and passing well then we may have a player on our hands after all. So impressed I'm giving him my MOTM with Bartley a close second.

As I was leaving after the final whistle on Elland Road behind the South Stand for some reason the atmosphere seemed quite aggressive. No idea why we'd just won a good match, played well and yet there was no joy in the air. Only abusive language and the feeling that there were people looking for trouble. Funny thing is after the last home match I was outside the kop and there were Leeds fans fighting amongst themselves that day. Maybe we should go back to losing at home and then everyone is too depressed to cause any trouble.

Obviously Chirpy you are another one that has tried to play golf and failed, its all about technique and timing, Gleneagles two years ago the crowd was impeccable, only the septics that travelled over were gobbing it off

Dont mind golf.. I have recently taken up and am having lessons.....But its not supposed to be a glitzy team game with all the showbiz stuff.
Its like they are forcing it to be exciting... Leaves me cold and i can usually watch any sport and enjoy it including standard golf tournaments.

Really enjoyed the Ryder Cup. Fantastic play from both sides. My hefty wager on USA certainly added to the excitement. Nearly cashed out at 4-0 and at many points during an enthralling event wished I had but ultimately the best team prevailed.
What might have been though if Westwood had not missed that tiddler late on Saturday night.

hello smiling faces (well, maybe not everyone) ... another good result, and Monk's influence starting to make a real difference now ... Barnsley are a team used to winning and they carried their promotion form into this season, so it was good to stop them in their tracks ... Leeds will sign Jansson, they have no choice once he plays 20 League games, and you can't see him playing for the U23s once he gets to 19 appearances

Villa is a club in serious decline, there is no belief left there, and the players don't seem up to the fight ... they still haven't figured out that all the lesser clubs desperately want to beat them, and they are not coping with the endless battles against teams raising their game for the Villa match ... if they get their next appointment wrong, they will go down ... here's hoping its Hockaday

the noisy galleries at the Ryder Cup were started by Europe, and frankly it really isn't great ... what I find hilarious is how quickly the whining starts when things go wrong ... the USA actually took a leaf from the European book by asking the crowds to be loud, and to wear red on the Sunday ... McIlroy was pathetic with his Chris Wood cupping of the ear and the "can't hear you" shouts, and it was brilliant when Reed sank that long putt straight after Rory's antics that made the crowd explode ... McIlroy simply doesn't have the class of a Palmer or Nicklaus, so it was fitting that he lost his match and started the slide

as for Hamilton, another arrogant fool ... now he's demanding answers from his team for the blow up, yet seems to instantly forget that this is the same team that's given him a great car for the past few years ... ungrateful knob

onwards and upwards, the break will benefit Bridcutt and Berardi, and also allow Monk more time on the training pitch to iron out more creases ... expect Sacko to be doing more work on playing killer balls and less charging head down like Huckerby

right, that's enough use of the word more
