    High foot no contact is an indirect free kick for dangerous play. If contact is made then its direct for kicking an opponent but no contact constitutes dangerous play which is indirect.

    If you have picked up on the penalty bit you need a lot of educating, it does not refer to a direct penalty as you are thinking, it refers to a team being penalised as in conceding a direct free kick against them <doh>

    Your posts states that an indirect kick is given for dangerous play.. high foot no contacting constitutes dangerous play because it doesn't fall under list of scenarios where a direct free kick is given

    Laws of the game, googled it after as I'd always been told high foot is indirect and they briefly mentioned it on motd commentary which got me thinking.

    charges at
    Jumps at
    kicks or attempts to kick player
    Direct is given is contact is made.


    Indirect is given if
    Plays in dangerous manour

    Which they define as

    While trying to play thretens injury to a player and includes preventing an opponent from playing the ball thrrough fear of injury.

    Above is what high foot falls into if no contact is made.
