Brilliant round of jumping from Value At Risk. Not good enough today to be involved though and perhaps the step up to 3 miles + can see him picking up some nice handicaps over the coming years. He's definitely not going to be the Graded animal they felt he would be over the big 'uns

It fair to say its not the greatest card for Arc day and with several short price favourites it isn't the greatest betting card either.

For the Arc itself it's interesting to see Makahiki has begun to drift already. A bit of an enditment of the shambles that antepost betting has become. I will giving Found another go given the fact that this has been the plan for her all year. She ran a good one at the Irish Champions Stakes and if she comes on again from that she has got every chance. Postponed is the one they all have to beat with his growing list of group one wins. I wouldnt rule out New Bay either. He was up with the pace last time when it clearly suited to be held up. He stayed going to the line to finish fourth then which was a credible performance.

The opener on the card looks one of the better betting races and I will give one more chance to Promise To be True. She was poor at the Curragh but that was a strong race and she looked a good prospect on her first two starts. So I will have a go at 5/1.

I'm really looking forward to seeing So Mi Dar run in the Prix de l'Opera. She has won all her races with a bit to spare so far and should she do similarly in this she could be capable of anything. But at odds on I'll be watching without a financial interest.

Here's hoping with get some good races and best of luck with your bets.
Get in you beauty<party>

Great ride by Moore

Moore learned from his past errors. She looked the winner 4 out didn't she. Easy as you like in the end. Kicking myself I didn't back her santy post but happy with the 7/1 I took today.

Has been the bridesmaid most of the season and is finally the bride. Hardly a vintage field but all she could do was win.

No excuses (yet) for Harzand or Postponed, both of whom had the run of the race from decent stalls.

Quick get down the bookies and have a bet on how many times O’Blarney tells the interviewer to “Listen...”

Brilliant 1,2 3 for AOB. The lovely consistent Found (2nd 9 times) wins the big one. Beat the Arc winner Golden Horn in America, now wins the Arc.

As I said in an early post, Postponed would be vulnerable if the ground came up fast. I still thought he would win but should have listened to myself <doh><laugh>

Order Of St George 3rd <laugh> a 20 furlong horse placing in an Arc. What would Wicklow Brave have done to that field <laugh> <laugh> <bandit>
Not unheard of - in soft ground. I would have expected a good run from Order Of St George in soft to heavy ground but shouldn't have been anywhere near on fast ground.

Ardross won an Ascot Gold Cup and almost pulled off the Arc Humans...wouldn't knock the form of stayers dropping back if they have a touch of class..Having said that, the winner is probably the best G1 barometer in the world lately and generally runs to 118-120 so perhaps the form is average..like last year..

Doesn't take the lustre off a great day for the Irish and all three from poor draws...well done to you guys.
