Son looks like the player that we bought, rather than the one that played last season. A real turnaround.
2-0 HT. Really decent performance, barring a couple of bookings. Worked bloody hard though, so we need to manage the bench well. If we can get at Otamendi again in the second half, then he'll struggle to stay on.
My only concern now is whether we can get to 3-0 before we get a red, or not concede before similar happening to Otamendi.
Two things that we need to sort out for the second half, for me. The offsides, which were constant at the end of the half and the pissing about with Lloris. City are doing the same thing with Bravo and both teams are suffering for it.
The 2nd half plan IMHO : 1. Keep the MF press going, but be more selective in when and how much 2. Drive at Otamendi while he is still on the pitch 3. Sort out the offside line (they will get torn apart)
Just please don't let them score and then spend the last 20 mins hanging on for dear life. My nerves can't stand another cliffhanger!
