Would both promising U23 forwards (asoro and maja) be playing in a U23 game on Friday night, when the senior squad have a game the next day, and have no forwards available? That subs bench was weak as piss.
That week subs bench got us a point. Not disagreeing mind it was weak but Rodwell and Van Aanholt made the difference imo.
Agreed Comm. One of them should've been on the bench yesterday IMO. A knock to Defoe and then who plays there?
I don't like the weekly gamble of hoping that Defoe doesn't get injured. It seems to have been extended to not even bothering to have a striker on the bench.
One of them should have been on the bench, to play both on the Friday is questionable to say the least. These lads need to feel they are in with a chance, its called motivation. Of course we need to start keeping clean sheets and maybe that is the priority, but we need to find another goalscorer from somewhere, only two players to have scored goals this season in the league is showing how much we are missing the Fabio option, not to mention Lens, who I always thought looked like he could make a fist of leading the line.
